Note that DeCSS is a Windows program and can't be run on Linux.

The current popular opinion seems to be that the Linux CSS code in (say)
LiViD is derived from DeCSS and wouldn't have been possible without
the various things that were revealed in DeCSS.

All this bears more looking into.
