In my younger days. . . I did enjoy some of his linguistic and social
observations over his prediliction for destroying produce. However, I
realised Steven Wright was better with linguistic observation and Dennis
Miller was better at social observation and stopped watching Gallagher. I
see him every once in a while on Comedy Central and wonder how I used to
enjoy it. While he does fill the spot for young kids and middle america of
linguistic and social commentary comedian, he's a stepping stone to more
erudite comedians.
