[free-sklyarov] mumia

finally, a free mumia person who reads the business section:

--Ms. Kirby,

I believe you used bad judgement in writing "Forget Freeing Mumia. 'Free
Dmitry' is the hip, new rallying cry among Bay Area activists" in the lead
for your piece, Martyr or criminal? With those three words, you managed to
trivialize Mumia's fight for freedom from Death Row to a B-list celebrity
flavor of the month. Many believe that there were holes in the government's
case against Mumia. The campaign to free Mumia is not because it is the
fashionably hip thing to do. The campaign to free Mumia is growing because
progressive people know it is the RIGHT thing to do. Before you reference

Mumia Abu Jamal again for an article, I suggest you educate yourself and
read Mumia's autobiography, Live From Death Row.

Sincerely,

(name deleted)
