SVFIG Meeting Agenda for Saturday, March 27, 2004
At Cogswell College, 1175 Bordeaux Drive, Sunnyvale, CA
09:45 Starbucks Coffee, Tea, Bagels, and Pastries
10:00 The Simplist Single Step Debugger for the eP32 Forth Simulator - CH Ting
"The eP32 simulator can sequence instructions, one instruction per cycle.
However, to debug Forth code, it is better to single step Forth words
rather than machine instructions. If the simulator can execute a break when
it encounters any address above the CFA of the Forth word being debugged, a
simple yet poweful single step debugger, with very little code will result."
12:00 Lunch - on your own: Togos or other local eateries
13:00 Introductions, Announcements, Rumors, and Gossip
13:15 John Holds Forth - John Hall
John will talk about one or more of the following: QX-10 and Valdocs, new
computers and software applications coming from Apple, Open Firmware
diagnostics, and USB.
14:15 Networking Break (make up your own pithy protocol comment)
14:30 Sellam's Shish-kabob - Sellam Ismail
A combo treat from the Perpetrator-in-Chief of the Vintage Computer
Festivals and owner of VintageTech. He will talk about the beginnings of
the VCF, how VintageTech came about, and discuss some interesting and
little known Forth history.
16:00 Adjourn to 'tea' at the Tied House
If you would like to present at an SVFIG meeting, send email to jv at zork.net

The April SVFIG meeting will be on the 24th. We're hoping to go to the
Digibarn but they have not been responsive to email.
In any case, Cogswell will be unavailable that day so if we don't go to the
Digibarn, the meeting will be elsewhere.
In May, we hope to have news from AMR. How about some ColorFORTH? TCL,
anybody?
There are two very interesting talks coming up at the Computer History
Museum (or Antique-Geek Warehouse?).
