Again, the electrical discharge drives the tentacle back. Unfortunately,
it also zaps Ted, who feels his whole body spasm. He's finding out first
hand how good an electrical conductor salt water is.

The one tentacle tenses up, and then to Owen and Ted's horror, two others
come racing out of the darkness. Before the tentacles can reach them,
there is suddenly a flash from the submarine that thus far only Ted has
apparently been aware of. Owen finally sees it clearly now, as running
lights flicker, and there's a flash from some tubes on its side. A couple of
torpedoes fly towards the tentacle, hitting it dead on. A large burst of fire,
bubbles and flesh strikes both Owen and Ted, pushing them back, and
when the conflagration finally ends, a good ten feet of tentacle is missing,
and the gripping end is floating to the bottom, flailing like a worm. The
ruined tentacle itself is bleeding some oily bright green blood, as it flees
back into the darkness.

The submarine itself begins to rise, heading from Louissa, and a couple
of suited figures can be seen coming out of a hatch with some sort of
underwater jet packs on their backs. Owen and Ted's radios crackle.

"'Ello there, chaps, this is the HMS Triumph." a very cheery male English
voice says. "In need of any assistance?"
