[Taocow PBEM] [Ted, Raven, Owen, Alex] Book 3 - Chapter I - Bridge

With Ted leading them, the four make their way towards the bridge,
though in fact since the sub is angled considerably to the seafloor,
it's more like making one's way down a shaft.  They pass a number of
hatches and corridors, but the ship seems oddly silent.  Forty people
apparently inhabit it, but where are they?

After about five minutes they pass the medical bay.  Inside can be
seen a young woman lying on a table.  Ted, Owen and Alex instantly
recognize her as Louissa.

Ahead lies the armory and the bridge, but between them and you is one
of the waterproof doors that Lyle was talking about.  The door seems
to be sealed by something pink, bulbous and organic.  A single eye
sits in it.

Almost out of nowhere three crewmembers are behind the party.  They
have the same dazed look the young woman had.  These ones, however,
are holding energy pistols.

"You will accompany us to the medical bay." they say without emotion
and in unison.  "Now."

The sickbay door opens and Louissa walks out.  "Comply now or be
destroyed." she says flatly.

The moaning and creeking of straining steel increases...
