>> Oz's sergeant gives him a surprised, almost disbelieving look. For a
>> moment the man seems lost for words. "Begging yer pardon, Sir." he
>> says. "A few hours ago that woman would 'ave shot us or delivered us
>> to a Splugorth arena. I hope you know what you're doing."

> [Oz]
> Oz nodded. "And a few days ago, Jacek and his men would have shot or
> captured us if they weren't outnumbered and outgunned. We need every
> weapon we can get against these aliens, sergeant. They're gobbling up
> New Camelot as we speak. Even discounting their technology, they
> outnumber us by an order of magnitude. Making allies of bandits and
> runaway slaves sound just about right to me."

>> The girl "thing" in the next cell chuckles in a disturbing girl-like
>> fashion. "Oh, Osmar, Knight of Camelot, among other things, why not
>> free me as well. Free me as well. I'm sure I and your brave Altaran
>> would get along smashingly."
> [/GM]
>
> [Oz]
> "The only thing I want to smash is your brain, with a cold iron
> cudgel." He looked at the men on watch. "God bless you, men. I have a
> feeling you're going to need someone looking out for you while you're
> watching that thing."
>
> Oz nodded curtly at the sergeant. "Let's go, sergeant."
> [/Oz]

The girl-thing just laughs in a maddening girlish giggle as Oz and his
sergeant depart.

"I follow the lizard man out of a debt." the girl calls out. "But mark
my words, you will beg for my aid!"
[/GM]
