>> [Guardsman]
>> "Not sure Sir Prrcyval will like one of them being let go." he says.
>> "If there's any gods, one of 'em will make sure one of the Hood's boys
>> catch up with him. What's your orders, sir?"
>> [/Guardsman]

> [Oz]
> "I'd much rather have another human out there loose with a gun than
> see him sitting in a jail cell and be easy pickings for the Splugorth.
> Right now we all have the same enemy. The king's men can go back to
> fighting bandits when the aliens have been pushed back into the sea."
>
> Oz shook his head. "I need men who can track for a special detachment.
> Anybody who knows these woods, as well. That force of armor came from
> somewhere; we need to figure out where that is. The rest of you can
> report to Sir Prrcyval at the tower. In fact, let's all go to the
> tower. Maybe Percy can let us in on why the bandits were attacking
> him."
> [/Oz]

[GM]
Three guardsmen step forward. One of them says "Me and my mates here
used to hunt pretty regularly in the woods. We'll scout 'em out, sir!"
In moments they disappear into the forest.

Everyone else quickly lines up to move out, some taking spot in front
Oz and the main group. These are clearly the King's elite troops.

They follow the same trail Oz had taken before to the tower. Where it
was a hangout of bandits before, it is now bustling with activity. A
hover transport is disgorging several dozen men. Sir Prrcyval is busy
overseeing the mounting of a temporary communications array on the top
of the tower. He shouts down "Come on up, *Sir* Oz!"

The inside of the tower is little more than a wall with a
creaky-looking staircase leading up about thirty feet to the room
above.
[/GM]

[Sir Prrcyvel]
Prrcyvel meets Oz at the top of the stairs, and gives him a brisk
handshake. "Good show, old chap. Good show. Well come on up and grab a
spot of tea. Hope you have some good intelligence for me. We've been
ordered to set up a base here to round up any stray bandits, and to
set up a forward base against the Splugorth. I've tried contacting
your friends, but something's interfering."
[/Sir Prrcyvel]
