[Taocow PBEM] Book 3 - Chapter XII - Journey to the Millennium Tree

OOC: Apologies for the late reply. Work got very hectic last week and
I ended up having to work into the weekend.

The sergeant thinks for a moment. "Aye, we could use some scouting to
the east." He points to where the hill meets another ridge. "There's a
gap yonder where a river has cut through. You could take a couple of
the men and sort out what's going on in that direction, maybe there's
a way to reach the Tree that way, if you're willing. At least we'll
know if there are any enemies coming from the east, 'cause that's the
way back to Old London and the Splugorth's HQ."

The sergeant looks to Oz. "If it's okay with the Knight Commander, of course."

"That sounds like a job for us, Friend Miles." the dwarf says. "I'll
come with you!"

OOC: Okay, so to get things straight, Vesper is going off to catch up
with the scouts heading up the hill. Miles has been offered a chance
to lead a scouting party to the east. Thus far, Oz, Alex and Ted are
remaining behind. I'll post separate posts for Vesper and Oz, Alex and
Ted and await Miles' reply.
