As the orb approaches, a voice suddenly booms in everyone's radios,
and even, it seems, in their minds, in a powerful show of telepathy
and electromagnetic manipulation.

"One of your units has disabled the restart of the fusion reactor of
this vessel. You will re-enable it and effect repairs upon Unit 7442."

The orb swings into view and seems to literally begin to suck at
Vesper's energy field, the field twisting and distorting into a
reddish tube of mystical energy that the orb is absorbing.
