As they back away, the feel the effect of the orb's energy drain 
decrease. But they also notice the air around it is getting colder, and 
patches of frost are creeping over the hull and other surrounding 
objects, as it draws thermal energy from the environment. Any body armor 
sensors will show the temperature within ten feet of the orb has now 
dropped to -25 degrees Centigrade (-13 degrees Fahreneit), and is 
dropping about a quarter of a degree every thirty seconds.
