As a matter of fact, I can pinpoint the first meeting outside of the
Carl's Jr. exactly. 

It was when ESR was here, one month before the Linus meeting and two
months before Marc Andreeson's appearance. Yes, that was February of
_this_ year. 

Man, it sure feels like that must have been a lot further back, doesn't
it?
