Hey, I use 24-hour time internally, and I translate it to 12-hour time when
talking to most Americans, something which always annoys me. 24-hour time
is _so_ much better than 12-hour time. In fact, I should finish that web
page about why.

For one thing, you can properly add and subtract times. Also, you can
properly add and subtract time intervals, which means you can do time zone
conversions much more efficiently.

If you know a fact like "EST = PST + 3:00", you can readily use it to make
time conversions in both directions by simple addition and subtraction.
This is especially useful when the time differences are near 12 hours in
themselves, since they then almost always involve a shift from AM to PM or
vice versa.

Plus, 24-hour time is one of the contrived excuses for saying "good
morning" all the time!
