Given the money MSFT has made from selling puts on their own stock, I
don't think it's going to take a few years. They have 163 million shares
that they sold above the strike price (i.e. the options are
now in-the-money).

Interestingly, when I signed the various paperwork for $FIRM today, I
noted that I am barred by contract from trading in $FIRM's options, a
constraint which I find eminently sensible. Options aren't a bad thing,
but most of the people caught on insider trading have been caught because
of options trading.
