Thirsty Monkeys Stone Herdsman to Death

NAIROBI (Reuters) - A group of thirsty monkeys stoned a herdsman to death in 
drought-stricken northern Kenya as he watered his livestock, a newspaper 
reported Thursday.

``In a clear sign of worsening drought, a herdsman was killed after riotous 
monkeys stoned pastoralists at a watering point in Wajir district,'' the 
East African Standard said.

A nurse in district said the man died from severe head injuries. Herdsmen in 
Wajir usually tend cows and camels.
