True, actually. EOG is going to be a really nice tool for those times when
you just need to get an image displayed, with all relevant functionality, but
you don't want to code it up yourself.

Yeah, personally, I think a scriptable office suite sounds a bit...
unexciting. That is, I can see how I might automate small stuff to make it
easier, but it's not exactly world-shattering.

I want a fully scriptable metadata aware system that lets me do interesting
and intelligent correlation and extraction of data. So I can easily find out,
for instance, the frequency of the word "GAR" on this mailing lsit in threads
started by Monkey Master, and how many of them have post from Deirdre talking
about embedded BeOS, and if there's any correlation with the phase of the
moon. Simple stuff like that.
