I was a GNOME user (since version 0.99.x or so) until about a month
ago, and I have *never* had the ORB crash.  I don't run a
squeaky-kleen installation either; I have had development versions of
various bits and bobs in the mix at various points.

What on earth do you do to make these things happen?
