The BSD crowd did not consider Darwin in any way redundant, at the
last O'Reilly Open Source Convention in Monterey.  In fact, there was
quite a bit of celebration, and sincere welcoming to the throng.

This carpfest has become more than a little absurd:  The licence, and 
the code with its incremental additions to the BSD codebase, are real
and rise or fall on merits independent of your opinions concerning their
publisher.
 
(And your being a snob and a _slob_ at the same time is even more
ridiculous:  Snip quoted material you're not commenting on, dammit!)
