there's that.
the PAiA Theremax kit we got was pretty much the nitty gritty. all we avoided
was the part scavenging, the circuit design (which is, incidentally, cooler
than the theremins of old in some ways), and etching the circuit board. at
least the latter two, i'd rather not hack as a near-complete novice.
i can read a diagram, locate the correct components in their little bags
(identifying resistors, etc.), and solder, but not much more.
