Look at Mister Bad, always assuming the worst. "Oh, man, I *know*
something BAD *must* be going on right below the surface."

Maybe they were just stoned or on LSD like everyone else in Berkeley and
they mistakenly (and innocently) transposed a couple digits. Or perhaps
their hallucinogenically enhanced reasoning told them that writing their
correct number would cause the digits to rise up off the page in mutiny
and kill them if they were given up to the Man.

Things aren't ALWAYS as bad as they seem, you know.
