FWIW, I think it was an effective hook and probably
did get the attention of people who haven't been
reading everything they can get their hands on about
Sklyarov. If they didn't write back, well, probably
anyone who cared enough to write back is already
aware of the story.
That has to be a first, though: mentioning Mumia to
make something palatable to a mainstream audience.
