In the interest of accuracy: this is the penalty for using the "read aloud"
feature of the Adobe Acrobat eBook Reader. The legal restriction was (is?)
very poorly worded, but what it *means*, according to both Adobe and its
opponents, is that the "read aloud" text-to-speech feature is disabled. It
does not, and never did, mean that a human can not read the text of the
work aloud in the ordinarily-permitted ways (i.e., not for paid public
performance in the case of copyrighted work).
