I just wanted to comment on the modified Adobe logo on the
boycottadobe.com website. I'm not clear what the artist is trying to
communicate by inserting the Communist hammer/sickle in the Adobe logo. It
seems that Adobe suffers from an excess of Capitalism and all its inherent
evils rather than an excess of Communism. And, while I'm not myself a
Communist, I'd have trouble feeling a part of any movement (and we ARE
building a movement, right here on this list) that participates in the
kind of red-baiting implied by equating Communism with all things evil. I
further note that Mr. Sklyarov is from Russia, a part of the world which
is closely associated with Communism.

I apologize if I'm reading too much into it, but it seems to me we have to
be careful about symbolism and what kind of message we're sending.
