More stuff I can't go to because I will be in Germany. For all of
these events, you have to pay money or else already be an FSF
Associate Member.
> Meanwhile, we'd like to let you know that we have three events next week
> in San Francisco of interest to Associate Members:
>
> * An Associate Member reception will be hosted at the Pickwick Hotel
> (85-5th Street, San Francisco, CA) on Wednesday 6 August 2003 from 6PM
> to 10PM.
>
> All Associate Members are invited at no charge to join us for a
> friendly gathering with snacks and beverages. Each Associate Member
> may bring one guest, and additional guests can sign up as Associate
> Members at the door!
>
> More details at: http://member.fsf.org/reception.html
>
>
> * On Thursday 7 August 2003, FSF will host a fund-raising dinner with
> Andy Hertzfeld, original member of the Macintosh team at Apple, and
> now an ardent support of software freedom -- particularly in the area
> of making Free Software easy to use. Please join Andy and me for an
> intimate dinner at an upscale San Francisco restaurant. The cost is
> $100 per person for Associate Members ($125 for others).
>
> More details at: http://www.fsf.org/events/dinner-20030807.html
>
> Write Ravi Khanna at <ravi at fsf.org> or phone him at +1-617-620-9640
> soon if you'd like to attend; space is limited.
>
>
> * All day on Friday 8 August 2003, FSF will host a seminar on "Free
> Software Licensing and the GNU GPL". I, along with Daniel Ravicher
> (FSF's outside legal counsel from Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP),
> will discuss the details of the GPL from a legal, business, and
> developer perspective.
>
> The seminar is $400 for Associate Members ($500 for others).
> Continental breakfast, lunch, and two coffee breaks will be provided.
>
> Again, write Ravi Khanna at <ravi at fsf.org> or phone him at
> +1-617-620-9640; space is limited for this event, too.
