Tell him a question: "What's wrong with Netscape?" Communicator 4.08
for Linux or Navigator 3.04 for Linux are the best things available,
are available gratis, and are the obvious thing to use until the
Mozilla betas based on the GTK+ graphics toolkit are good enough
for production use.

Remember, Netscape Communications/AOL do _not_ control the browser
source code. 4.x/3.x may be technically proprietary, but barely
so, and the future is growing out of them as we speak.

I suppose 4.08 or 3.04 for legacy Microsoft Windows operating systems
might suffice until your friend has time to reformat. ;->

Cheers, The cynics among us might say: "We laugh,
Rick Moen monkeyboys -- Linux IS the mainstream UNIX now!
rick (at) hugin.imat.com MuaHaHaHa!" but that would be rude. -- Jim Dennis
